Chiswick Knee Clinic

What we assess and treat

Every plan below starts from an examination rather than a scan, and states its expected recovery time before you agree to it.

Sports and acute injuries

Ligament injuries, meniscal tears and cartilage damage. Management ranges from structured rehabilitation to arthroscopic surgery; the choice depends on the tear pattern, your activity goals and your timeline.

Patellar and anterior knee pain

Load-related pain at the front of the knee, common in runners and cyclists. Usually managed with a progressive loading programme; imaging is reserved for pain that does not follow the expected pattern.

Knee osteoarthritis

Staged management following NICE guidance: exercise therapy and weight management first, then injection therapy, with joint-preserving or replacement surgery discussed when symptoms limit daily life.

What outcomes to expect

Results vary between individuals and no outcome can be promised in advance. Where published data exists for a procedure, we will give you the numbers and the source at your consultation.
